Why should I become a member of Pakenham Racing Club?

Does my membership application need to be ratified by the board to join as a new member? 
Yes, new members will have their application approved by the board at the next committee meeting. Once approved, the PRC will contact you to process payment.

How can I pay for a membership renewal?
Membership renewals can be purchased online with secure payment with a Visa or Mastercard. Please contact us for alternative payment methods.  

Are there members’ only facilities that I have access to on race day? 
Pakenham Racing Club Members have access to the dedicated Members’ lounge, offering discounts and specials on food and beverages.

Can I bring children into the Members’ facilities? 
Children under the age of 18 are permitted into all Members’ areas if accompanied by an adult member. Members are reminded that they are responsible for the behaviour and dress standard of their guests and children at all times.

Is there a dress code in the Members’ facilities? 
We kindly ask members to dress to a standard suitable for the Member’s facilities. Club Management retains the right, at its sole discretion to refuse any member or guest access to enter or use the members’ areas that are not attired in line with this policy or do not have the appropriate ticket or pass.

Male: Gentlemen are required to wear the following minimum standard of attire within the members’ facilities at all times unless advised otherwise: a collared shirt or collared polo top, pants, dress shorts and shoes or sandals
Female: Ladies are required to maintain a suitable standard of dress in keeping with the dignity of the members’ facilities.

Not Permitted: The following items of clothing or those similar in nature are not permitted to be worn within the Members’ facilities. T-shirts, tracksuits, torn clothing, clothing with graffiti, singlets, football jerseys, leggings, swimsuits, beanies, board shorts, thongs, runners, moccasins, dilapidated footwear and jackets without a collar.

Who can use a Guest Pass?  
Guest passes can be used by any non-member you would like to bring on race day, it does not need to be the same guest each time. 

What will I receive in my membership pack?
Your Membership Cards, race date calendar and information pack.

When will I receive my membership pack? 
Membership packs are normally sent 1-3 business days after purchase for confirmed members, please allow more time during the busy renewal period. If you would like to collect your membership pack on race day, please get in touch with us to arrange this. 

What happens if my card is lost or stolen? 
Membership cards can be replaced by contacting the club (service fee may apply). The old card will be cancelled and a new one will be issued. 

Is there a Members’ car park? 
No, we have ample on-site public parking to accommodate attendees. 

How long does a membership last? 
The membership season follows the racing season, which is 1 August – 31 July. We recommend renewing early in the season to maximise value from your membership. 

If I can’t attend a race day, can a friend or family member use my card? 
Yes, another person can use your membership pass if you cannot attend. Membership cards are scanned upon entry to the racecourse and can only be scanned in once.
